Mrs. Lona June Howard, age 82, of Macclenny, Florida passed away Tuesday, July 1, in the Suwanne Valley Care Center, Lake City, Fla. following an extended illness. She was born in Bell, Florida and resided in Jacksonville, Fla. before moving to Macclenny, Fla. in 1975. She worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company, Jacksonville, Fla. for many years and worked for Avon Products for over 40 years and served as northeast Florida district manager. She was a graduate of Bell High School, a member of the Prospect Primitive Baptist Church of Jasper, Fla. and served as church clerk and treasury for many Primitive Baptist Church’s . She enjoyed exercising and her church services and traveling trips as an Avon representative. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa June Wootters of Bell, Fla. and Molly Wallace of High Springs, Fla.: Three sons, Horace Wayne Stokes of Bell, Fla., Michael Williams of Lake City, Fla. and Danny W. Stokes, Sr. of Macclenny, Fla.: Two sisters, Martel Carrier of Rome, New York and Cloia Ann Morris of St. Maries, Idaho. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Saturday, July 5, in the Wayfair Primitive Baptist Church, Bell, Florida with Rev. Mike Williams, Elder Albert Altman and Mr. Jimmy Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Wayfair Cemetery, Bell, Florida. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday, July 3, at Guerry Funeral Home, Lake City, Fla.
