Mrs. Louise “Weezey” Gainey, 65, of Taylor, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 at her home. She was born in Lake City in 1947 to the late Eullie W. Richardson and Edith L. Taylor Richardson. Mrs. Gainey has been a lifelong resident of Baker County and retired in 2011 from the American Enterprise Bank in Macclenny. She was a member of the Taylor Church and enjoyed singing at church, collecting dolls and spending time with her friends and family. Mrs. Gainey was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth M. “Mike” Gainey, Sr., two brothers, Edwin Richardson and Raymond Richardson and three sisters, Shirley Smith, Voncille Richardson and Mary Louise Richardson.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Arvie M. “Chuck” Gainey, Taylor; one son, Greg Gainey (Janice), Taylor; two brothers, Melvin Richardson, Savannah, GA and Marvin “Bud” Richardson (Vickie), Cincinatti, OH; two sisters, Helen Byrd (Schell), Glen St. Mary and Judy Crews (Buddy), Georgia Bend; five grandchildren, Kenneth M. Gainey, Jr., Taylor, Gage Gainey, Taylor, Gabriel Johnson, Daytona, Tommy Walton (Casey), Macclenny and Mandy Combs (Randy), Atlanta; nine great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 5, 2012 11:00 AM at Taylor Church in Taylor, FL with Rev. Mark Woods and Rev. Jim Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
