Mrs. Lovey Audrey Clardy, age 79 of Sanderson, FL, died Friday, November 29 in the St. Vincents Medical center in Jacksonville.  She was born in Lake City, FL and resided in Jacksonville, FL for over 30 years before moving to Sanderson, FL in 1986.  She worked as a waitress, as a fruit service worker with East Coast Fruit Co. in Jacksonville, FL and was the former owner of Clardy's Country Store in Taylor, FL for over nine years until her retirement in 1997.  She was a Christian and was a certififed food service worker with the State of Florida.  She enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren and friends and also sewing and embroidery.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Broward and Lillie Mae Wood Crawford and her son, Leon Joseph Clardy.

Survivors include seven children, Calvin F. (Rosemarie) Clardy of Candler, NC, Terry E. (Paula) Clardy of Macclenny, Grover W. Clardy of Glen St. Mary, Gale (James) Lamb and Lillie Mae (Charles) Delight Austin all of Jacksonville, Florence A. (David) Wade of Hoschton, GA and Pansy E. (Mark) Rutter of Powhatan, VA; two sisters, Pauline Crawford of Sanderson and Susie Bell Harrington of Jacksonville; one brother, Broward Crawford, Jr. of LA; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 3, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. David Leon Wade officiating and assisted by Elder David Crawford.  Interment will follow at North Prong Cemetery, Baker County, FL.  Visitation with the family will be from 4-9:00 PM, Monday, December 2 and from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM Tuesday, (2 hours prior to the service) at the funeral home.
