Ms. Mabel Irene Crews, age 88, of Glen St. Mary, Fl. passed away Saturday, Nov. 14 at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Crews lived in White Springs, Fl. before she moved to Glen St. Mary in 1957. She is a loyal member of her church, Macedonia Independent Methodist, Macclenny, Fl. and loved to attend church services. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, playing cards, traveling to the mountains and quilting. Ms. Crews loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gola Westberry Culpepper, her late husband and father to her children, Andrew Jackson Crews, Sr., her late husband, Euless B. Crews, and two sons, Andrew Jackson “Brigham” Crews, Jr., and Alton J. Crews. Ms. Crews is survived by five sons, Bobby (Betty Jean) Crews, Woody (Charlotte) Crews, Harold Crews, and Paul Crews all of Glen St. Mary, Fl. and Archie Crews of Raiford, Fl.: Three daughters, Margaret Watson of Baldwin, Fl., Delois (Tommy) Crews of St. George, Ga., and Jeanette (Alvin) Best of Fernandina Beach, Fl.: Four step sons, Tommy (Donna) Crews of Cuyler, Fl., Chester (Bonnie) Crews of Glen St. Mary, Fl., Floyd (Valerie) Crews of Macclenny, Fl., and Timmy (Jody) Crews of Norridgewock, Maine.: Two step daughters, Sarah Crews of Jacksonville, Fl. and Anetta Crews of Arizona. She is also survived by two beloved nieces, Barbara Jean (Larry) Stone of Tifton, Ga. and Diane (Donald) Goodman of Sycamore, Ga. and beloved nephew, Bo Henry (Mary) Culpepper of Ray City, Ga. Thirty-one grandchildren, 92 great grandchildren, 16 great- great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A remembrance service to honor the life of Ms. Crews will be held on Friday, Nov. 20 at 2 P.M. in Macedonia Independent Methodist Church, with Rev. Bobby Crews, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Allen Crews. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, 420 E.
