Margie Harvey Davis

Mrs. Margie Harvey Davis, age 88, of Sanderson, Florida passed away Sept. 2, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was a lifetime resident of Sanderson and attended Sanderson schools. She was a graduate of Sanderson High School, Class of 1949. She loved her family, friends and her church. She was a devout Christian who lived her life by the Bible. Her joy was in the Lord and time spent with her family and friends. Everyone who knew her described her as one of the sweetest women they knew. In her early years she worked at Gulf Life Insurance Company and later at Northeast Florida State Hospital. She was a member of the Cedar Creek Church, Sanderson, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Daisy Rhoden Harvey, her sisters, Jeanette Richards, Juanita Taylor, Hazel Taylor and brother, Virgil Harvey, her daughter-in-law, Debbie Davis and granddaughter, Sarah P. Davis both of Albany, Georgia. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Carlton Davis of Sanderson, Fla.; Three sons, Ronald (Sherrie) Davis of Macclenny, Florida, Jimmy L. Davis of Albany, Georgia and Mark (Donna) Davis of Sanderson, Florida: Three daughters, Regina Berger, Lora (Bob) Baglin and Patti L. Davis all of Sanderson, Florida: Eleven grandchildren, Joseph and Jason Dube’, Justin and Lauren Davis, Jordan and Robert Baglin, Andrew L. Davis, Markas, Michael and Maggie Davis and LaDonna Combs: 13 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Peyton, Landon, Ryan, Cayden, Grace, Lauren and Trinity Dube’, Briar, Bailey, Rylee and Beau Baglin and Abigail Davis: Brother, Vernon (Jackie) Harvey, brother-in-law, Preston (Miriam) Davis and sister-in-law, Shirley Davis all of Sanderson, Florida. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Davis will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, Sept. 6, in the Cedar Creek Church with Pastor Joseph D. Dube’, her grandson, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
