Marian Shirley Parker

Mrs. Marian Shirley Bivins Parker, 83 of Bryceville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 9, 2013. She was born on January 24, 1930 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Cecil and Ruth Brown Bivins. She lived most of her life in Bryceville and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bryceville where she played the piano for many years and she had previously been the pianist at the Beaver Street Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Royce Chandler “Sonny” Parker, Sr. in 2002.

Survivors include her three children, Nancy Parker West and Royce Chandler Parker Jr., both of Bryceville, and Frank Milton Parker (Debbie), Jacksonville; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Good (George), Winter Haven, Fla.; her grandchildren, Steven West (Lynn), Teresa West Turner and Sarah Parker; her great grandchildren, Gage Turner, Colby Turner, Dalton Turner, Madison West and Hannah West also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Bryceville with Rev. Mark Hodges and Rev. Paul Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Verdie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
