Marilyn Ruth Redden

Mrs. Marilyn D. Redden, age 82, of Lake City, Fla. died Sunday, Sept. 18, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla. following an extended illness. She was a native of Columbus, Ohio and had resided in Lake City since 1955. She was a homemaker and member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi and Alpha Chi Omega sororities and former member of Quail Heights Golf Club. She loved to play golf and go camping and enjoyed her many animal friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry J. and Henrietta Rosen Daniell. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William G. “Bill” Redden, Jr. of Lake City, Fla.: Her daughter, Linda (Bill) Redden Payne of Brooker, Fla.: Two sons, Glenn (Sandy) Redden of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Jerry (Margo) Redden of Mountain City, Tenn.: Her brother, James H. (Vicki) Daniell of Birmingham, Ala.: Six grandchildren, Micah (Mary Lynne) Redden, Rebekah (Stephen) Walters, Will Redden, Betsy (Ron) Davis, Joshua Payne and Jeremy Payne: Six great-grandchildren, Madison Davis, Parker Davis, Jayda Redden, Caden Redden and Dominick Payne and Davontee Payne. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 P.M., Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Louie Mabry, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Guerry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Lake City Animal Shelter, 1392 NW Shelter Glen, Lake City, Florida 32055 or to the Haven Hospice, 6037 U.S. Highway 90 West Lake City, Florida 32055.
