Marshall Blaine "Pete" Peters
December 12, 1931 — July 11, 2014
Mr. Marshall Blaine “Pete” Peters, 82 of Sanderson, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville.
He was born in Logansport, Indiana to the late Otto E. and Mary Alice Peters.
Mr. Peters retired from the United States Navy and made Baker County his home in 1970.
He retired again from the Florida Department of Corrections in 2001 from Baker Correctional.
Mr. Peters loved to fish and have family cookouts at his home.
He was preceded in death by one son, Marshall Duane Peters.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Betty Jean Beasley Peters, Sanderson; four sons, Michael Peters, North Carolina, Paul Raulerson (Lora), Lake City, Danny Raulerson (Vickie), Sanderson and Robert
Raulerson (Jessica), Sanderson; three daughters, Kathy Evans, Palatka, Millie Raulerson, Palatka and Robin Chapman (Wade), Jacksonville; one niece, Brenda Mundy (Kevin), Florida; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Register officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Sanderson. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM prior to the service in the chapel on Tuesday.
