Mrs. Matha Jean Terry, 81 of Lake City died on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Haven Hospice Chiefland Care Center in Cheifland following a long illness. She was born in Columbia County and lived near the White Springs community for many years before moving to Lake City in 1946. She was a homemaker and member of the Siloam United Methodist Church of Columbia County and enjoyed gardening and visiting with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Liza Jane Langford Jenkins, her late husband, William Robert Terry, her granddaughter, Heather Lorraine Sauls, her brothers, Junior, Albert and Colon Jenkins and her sister, Faith Fuller.
Mrs. Terry is survived by her daughter, Betty (Perry) Sauls of Lake City, her grandson, Kyle Sauls of Lake City, four brothers, Edward Tramel (Mary Beth) Jenkins of Eclectic, AL, Randy (Fran) Jenkins of Orlando, FL, Burl (Bonnie) Jenkins and T.D. (Shirley) Jenkins both of Lake City.
Funeral services for Mrs. Terry will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 14, 2011 in the Siloam United Methodist Church with Rev. Al Donovan, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Bill Peeler, Pastor of the White Springs United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Columbia County, Fl. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
