Mary Sivilla "Fiddy" Meadows

Mrs. Mary Sivilla “Fiddy” Greene Meadows, age 77, of Fernandina Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, March 17th in the Jane and Bill Warner Center for Caring, Fernandina Beach, FL, following an extended illness. Mrs. Meadows was born to the late Kossie Greene and Jennie Aline Kelly Greene in White Springs, FL, and resided there until she got married and relocated to Jacksonville, FL, and Fernandina Beach, FL. She worked as a bookkeeper and postal clerk for Highlands Drug Store in Jacksonville, FL, for many years and enjoyed volunteering at Yulee Elementary School. Mrs. Meadows was also an aerobics instructor at Amelia Wellness Center, Fernandina Beach, FL, and an aerobics coordinator/instructor for the YMCA, Fernandina Beach, FL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and homemaker. Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her son, Carson Dwaine Meadows; daughter, Baby Girl Meadows; sister, Betty (Leslie) Thomas; and brothers: Steve (Diane) Greene, Buddy Greene, and Malcolm Greene. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Carson William Meadows; son, Timothy William Meadows; grandchildren: Heather Meadows, Earlyne Wallace, and Kyrstin Meadows; sister, Bonnie Paisley Milton; and brother, Fred D. (Iris) Greene. Numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren also survive. A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Meadows will be held at a later date, following a private burial.
