Mary Katherine Hybart

Ms. Mary Katherine Hybart, age 93, formerly of Lake City, FL passed away Monday, June 12 in Alabama following an extended illness. Ms. Hybart was born in Dozier, AL and lived briefly in Auburn, AL and Acworth, GA, after spending over 40 years in Lake City, FL. Ms. Hybart was a homemaker and loved to cook. She also loved spending time with her family and talking to her friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of Ms. Hybart, Dr. John Abrams and staff and Hospice Compassus of Auburn, AL. Ms. Hybart is preceded in death by her late husband, Alton O. Hybart. She is survived by one daughter, Kay Webb of Lake City, FL: two sons, Tim Hybart (Melanie) of Tallahassee, FL and Chuck Hybart (Debby) of Acworth, GA: two sisters, Helen Norris of Marietta, GA and Mottie Smith of Lakeland, FL: nine grandchildren, Eryn Morris, Cody Gallegos, Mary Ann Atchison, Andy Hybart, Carrie Beth Hybart, Benjamin Hybart, Eric Hybart, Jared Hybart, and Rachel Hybart. Eight great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Hybart will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday, June 17 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Lake City, FL with Mr. David Martin of Tallahassee, FL, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, June, 16 at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, FL.
