Mary E. Mielke Borchardt (Schafer)

Mary E. Mielke Borchardt (Schafer) 78, of High Springs, Florida passed into the arms of Jesus on December 8, 2020.

She was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on September 9, 1942 to Elrita (Hansen) and Alvin Mielke Sr.

She was a devout Christian woman as well as a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife.

She was a dedicated homemaker who also worked outside of the home and ultimately owned and managed Floridian Homes & Development – construction and remodeling company for many years.

She is survived by her seven children Bryon, Kevin (Susan), Randy (Natalia), James (Kimberly), Mindy, Heidi, Tim (Shannan), Alfred Borchardt former husband and father to her children, 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, sisters Rita (Roy) Werner, June Wegner, brothers Alvin Mielke and David (Kathy) Mielke as well as Raymond Schafer former recent husband and many friends over the years. Preceded in passing by her parents Elrita and Alvin Mielke.

Viewing will be at Guerry Funeral Home in Lake City, Florida at 5pm on Saturday, December 12, 2020; Pastor Wrobel officiating at 1pm on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Guerry Chapel. She will be laid to rest at High Springs Cemetery, High Springs, Florida.

She was cared for in her final years by Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, Florida.

She was a life-long supporter of The National Right to Life organizations.
