Matt Kevin Jones

Mr. Matt Kevin Jones, age 62, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Monday, Oct. 21, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida. Mr. Jones had resided in Lake City, Florida all of his life. He was employed as a telemetry technician with the Lake City Medical Center and the Lake Shore Hospital for over 10 years until ill health forced his retirement. He also worked as a hair dresser for many years in Lake City and loved his dogs and growing plants at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas Dickie and Emily Jean Privette Jones, Sr. and his brother, Silas Dickie Jones, Jr. He is survived by two sisters, Susan Gooding and Patricia Durden both of Lake City, Florida; special nieces and nephews, Michelle Kuck, Beth Bell, Catie Bassler and Troy (Lori) Durden; a dear friend, Dusti Cromwell; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, Oct 24, in the Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Florida GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
