Mrs. Maudell Skinner Genaux, age 79, of Lake City, Florida died Monday, April 5, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. She was born in Live Oak, Florida and had resided in Lake City, Florida for the past 49 years. She was trained as a beautician and over many years owned numerous beauty shops in the Lake City area. She enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Willard Genaux and her parents, Richard and Letha Padgett Skinner. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (the late Mike Spradley) Spradley of Lake City, Florida: Two sons, Chad (Kayla) Christie of Lake City, Florida and Keith Hutchins of Taylorville, Florida: Two sisters, Glenda Fay “Tiny” Adcock and Mary Cheryl Edge both of Live Oak, Florida: one brother, Glen Ray “Bo” Skinner of Lake City, Florida: eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Genauz will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, April 12, in the Live Oak City Cemetery, Live Oak, Florida with Rev. Ralph Rodriquez, Pastor of Celebration Baptist Church, Lake City, Florida, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M.
