Melanie Davis

Melanie Faye Davis, “Chinkie Pin”, age 65 was called home to the lord, Tuesday, October 29,2024, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Ms. Davis was born in Jacksonville, FL and resided between Duval and Nassau County, FL. She worked 27 years as a retail worker for Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2021. Ms. Davis enjoyed the beach, collecting seashells, fishing, bird watching, Star trek ( Mr. Spock specifically). She loved cosplaying and playing guildwars with her beloved niece and nephew, Sherrie and Jonathan. She always loved reminiscing about the old days when she was younger. She would occasionally catch herself day dreaming in to time. Ms. Davis is preceded into death by her parents, Harmon and Aline Davis, one step sister; Nettie Jean Strickland, and her fishing buddy Delleanor Raulerson. She is survived by her two children; Anthony Warren Davis of Orange Park, Fl and Racheal Faye Elizabeth Hooper (Christopher) of Jacksonville, FL. Four siblings; Bill, Maebelle, Marilyn, and Darrell and four grandchildren; Callum, Lily, Eme and Gabriel. A celebration of Ms. Davis life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Level Church, 10815 Pine Level Church Road, Sanderson, FL 32087 with Pastor Fred Raulerson officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at North Prong Cemetery with Hassie Jean officiating.
