Mrs. Melba Nell Denney, age 85, of Baldwin, Fla. died Friday, Jan 24, in the St. Vincents Medical Center Riverside, Jacksonville, Fla. following an extended illness. She was born in Albertville, Ala. And had resided in Baldwin, Fla. for 57 years. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Macclenny, Fla. for many years. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Baldwin, Fla. She was an expert quilter and seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Katheryn Shelton Dick and two brothers, Robert Garthel Dick and Delano Dick. She is survived by three daughters, Gloria (Louis) Lang of Baldwin, Fla., Zannie (Foster) Andrew of Jacksonville, Fla. and Susan (Van) Long of Houston, Texas: One son, Michael (Marie) Denney of Jacksonville, Fla.: One brother, Odie Dick, Jr. of North Carolina: Seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Sunday, Jan. 26, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Donny Williams, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M. (CST) Monday, Jan. 27, in the Union Grove #1 Cemetery, Albertville, Alabama. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 P.M. Sunday, Jan 26, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U. S. 90 East, Macclenny, Fla.
