Michael Stewart Logan

Mr. Michael Stewart Logan, age 60, of Lake City, Fla. died Wednesday, July 27, in the Shands at University of Florida, Cancer Center, Gainesville, Fla. following a sudden illness. He was a native of Lake Hurst, New Jersey and had resided in Lake City, Fla. for the past 50 years. He was employed in the construction and waste management industry for many years. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and played football and was #41 on the 1967 Columbia High School State Football Championship Team. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his mother Rita Mae Turner Walker. He is survived by his son, Michael S. (Meagan) Logan, Jr. of Lake City: his father, Winton W. ""Bill"" Walker of Lake City: his long time companion, Shirley Campbell of Ocala, Fla.: one brother, Raymond A. (Janis) Logan of Lake City: his grandson, Gage Logan of Lake City: one nephew, Ray (Joy) Logan of Gainesville, Fla.,: one niece, Brandy (Brad) Womble, of Lake City. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 30, in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Sullivan, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, July 29, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City. Fla. Please make donations to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, 1630 S.W.
