Michael Edward Williams

Michael Edward Williams, Sr. 64, of Glen St. Mary, Florida departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2014. Born to A.Q “Buster” and Iris Williams on October 13, 1950, he was a lifelong resident of Baker County. Mike is survived by his devoted, loyal and loving wife of 46 years, Diane Marion Williams, son Michael Edward Williams Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; Timothy Williams, Joshua (Ashley) Williams, and Melonie Long all of Glen St. Mary, 8 grandchildren; Heather (Dennis) Morton, Hunter, Tyler, Kaylee, and Gracelyn Long; Dawson, Hayden, and Madden Williams; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden and Isabella Morton; sister Terry (Donnie) Jacobs, and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased in death by his parents A.Q. “Buster” and Iris Williams and sister Debbie (Ray) Alford. For any and all that knew Mike, knew he devoted his life to his wife, children, and grandchildren and truly was a family man in every regard. There seemed to be nothing he would not do to see the smiles of his grandchildren and fill every desire of their hearts. His passions and pastimes were watching Florida State football, working in his woodshop, and enjoying a day on the river catching fish with his children. Mike was a sports lover of all kinds, whether it be playing men’s league softball, coaching Little League baseball and football, or enjoying leisure volleyball with friends. He was retired from a career in the heavy-trucking parts industry after more than 20 years of dedicated service. The family will be receiving family and friends on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Guerry Funeral Home from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary at 11 a.m. with Rev.
