Mrs. Mildred Rhoden, age 86, of Baxter, Florida died Friday, May 11, at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Baker County and resided in the Baxter community all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Odus and Ida Raulerson Gainey and the widow of the late Orbey Rhoden. She was a homemaker, was a member of the Cyler Baptist Church and enjoyed string music, gospel music, and going to church.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda (J.N.) Canaday of Baxter Fla., Nancy Mayo of Cyler, Fla., and Mary (J.C.) Newmans of Folkston, Ga.: Three sons, Orbey Ray Rhoden of Folkston, Ga.,Otis David Rhoden of Baxter, Fla., and Roy A. (Sandy) Rhoden of Cyler, Fla.: 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 16, in the Cyler Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Worthington, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Gene Burnsed. Interment will follow in North Prong Cemetery, Baker County, Fla. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, May 15, at Cyler Baptist Church.
