Mose Churman Jewell

Mr. Mose Churman Jewell, age 71, of Baxter, FL passed away Wednesday, December 23rd in the Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness. Mr. Jewell was born in Baxter, FL and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. He was a graduate of Baker County High School, Class of 1968 and was a member of the St. George Church of God, St. George, GA. Mr. Jewell owned and operated Mose Jewell Trucking, Inc. for many years and was a contract carrier for FedEx Ground for over 30 years. He loved to travel, enjoyed visiting many parts of the United States, and was a loving man who cherished spending time with his family. Mr. Jewell is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn A. Jewell, Sr. and Louise Yonn Jewell, brother, David Jewell and sister, Eunice Jewell. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Latrelle Hicks Jewell: two sons, Robbie Jewell (Rhonda) and Jody Jewell (Char-Marie) both of Baxter, FL: one daughter, Regina Chisholm (David) of Baxter, FL: two brothers, Alton and Tomboy Jewell both of Baxter, FL: three sisters, Mary Crews (James) of Baxter, FL, Connie Wilkerson (Danny) of Macclenny, FL and Carrie Belle Roehrig of Gainesville, GA. Nine grandchildren, Tori, Matt, Tristan, Marcus, Levi, Kase, Gracie, Kassie and Kole. A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Jewell will be held Tuesday, December 29th at 2 P.M. in the North Prong Cemetery with Brother Grady Allbritton, Pastor of St. George Church of God, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, December 28th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home.
