Mr. Nathaniel Dinkins, age 85, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away Friday, May 13, in the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Macclenny, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Dinkins was born in Taylor, Florida and lived most of his life in Glen St. Mary, Florida. He was a truck driver for many years and retired from Maxwell House Coffee, Jacksonville, Florida after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Jean Dinkins, his grandson, Gregory Michael Dinkins, his parents, Leon and Marvin Taylor Dinkins, four siblings, Gladys Walker, Lucille Conner, Blanche Long and Robert Dinkins. He is survived by his five children, David (Danese) Dinkins of Macclenny, Fla., Wanda (Wayne) Holmes of Bryceville, Florida, Greg (Deanna) Dinkins of Macclenny, FL, Debra (Jerry) Peterson of Glen St. Mary, Florida, and Natalie (Boe Hurst) Combs of Callahan, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and also his friend and caregiver Dee Rowe. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Dinkins will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, May 16, in the Macclenny Church of God with Rev. Shannon Conner, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Bobby Griffin. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Baker County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, May 15, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida.
