Nettie Ruth Anderson

Mrs. Nettie Ruth Anderson, age 88, of Cross City, Florida died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018 at North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida. She was born and raised in Baker County, Florida and resided in Mayo, Florida before moving to Cross City, Florida 20 years ago. She was a homemaker, child care provider and enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Jimmie Anderson. Her parents, Lawton and Essie Rhoden Conner and her siblings, Ruby Raulerson, Fred Conner, Frank Conner, Evelyn Nipper and Marcus Gene Conner. She is survived by her two daughters, Ann (Marcus) Hays of Cross City, Florida and Beverly (Perry) Koon of Williston, Florida. Four grandchildren, Perry F. Koon III, Richard Edward Koon, Jessica Leighanne O’Neal, Benjamin Cole Hays and eight great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Susie Marsh of Macclenny, Florida, Gladys Hair and Patsy Groves both of Sanderson, Florida, three brothers, Virgil Conner and Floyd Conner both of Sanderson, Florida and Henry Conner of Moniac, Georgia. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Anderson will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018 at The Taylor Church with Rev. Ed Ivey of Tallahassee, Florida and Rev. Joe S. Brooks, Pastor of the Cross City Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday (One hour before services) at the church. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Taylor Church.
