Mr. Ora Davis, age 82, of Macclenny, Florida was called to his eternal home on February 9, 2015. He was born September 21, 1932 to William and Gladys Williams Davis in Sanderson, Florida. Ora was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Martha Wheeler Davis; brothers Winston and Ralph Davis and his granddaughter, Maggie Shook. He is survived by his wife and companion Shirley Davis; daughter Karen (Joey) Shook; son Glenn Davis; granddaughter Amanda (Matt) Moore; beloved great-grandchildren Emma and Elijah Moore; brothers Everett (Lydia Ann) Davis, Bud (Clarice) Davis and Mallory (Mary Lou) Davis; sister-in-law, Dorothy Davis, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. Ora was a member of the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church, wher e he served as a deacon for 29 years. “Brother Orrie” loved gardening, a good clean joke, making a pot of his famous chicken and rice for his loved ones, and MOST of all his Lord, faith and family, to whom he was lovingly known as MO’Pa. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, Feb. 12, in the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church with Elders David Crawford and Jim Sandlin officiating. Interment will be in South Prong Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at his church.
