Ormond Gerald Witt Jr.

Mr. Ormond “Eli” Gerald Witt, Jr., age 84, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Sept. 24, 2024 in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following a brief illness. Mr. Witt was born in Lake City, Florida and then moved to Clearwater, Florida before moving back to Lake City in 2004. He worked as a salesman and manager of Jacobson Mobile Homes, Clearwater, Florida and Turf Green, Inc. until his retirement. He a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, a graduate of Class of 1957 Columbia High School, attended the University of Florida and was an avid golfer and Gator football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ormon G. and Margaret D. Slater Witt, Sr., two brothers, Darrell Witt and Joe Witt and a brother-in-law, Danny Reeves. He is survived by two sisters, Jeanette (Patrick) Kee and Elaine W. Reeves both of Lake City, Florida; two brothers, Riley Witt and Lamar (Denise) with both of Lake City, Florida; three sisters-in-law, Byronelle Witt, Robin Witt and Paulette Johnson; Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Witt will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, Sept. 30, in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lake City, Florida with Mr. Patrick Lee officiating.
