Pamela Crews

Ms. Pamela M. “Pam” Crews, age 61, of Satsuma, Florida died Sunday, Jan. 24, in the St. Vincents Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Lake City, Florida and resided in Macclenny, Florida and Orange Park, Florida before moving to Satsuma, Florida five years ago. Pam had a sucessful career at AT &T where she retired as Senior Manager after 25 years of service She enjoyed her retirement where she made her home in Satsuma on a canal off the St. Johns River. She enjoyed fishing and made yearly trips with friends  to places lilke Steinhatchee and Homosaasa Springs. She loved gardening and cooking and was an avid Gator fan. She loved spending time with family and friends and had a special place in her heart for her beloved Yorkie, Sammy.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandprents, Freeman Cowart and Dorothy Combs Cowart and her paternal grandparents, Joseph G. and Annie Dugger Crews. She is survived by her parents, Joe B. and Bettie Lee Cowart Crews of Macclenny, Florida: Two sisters, Joni Crews Wright and Cami Crews (Lewyn) Boyette both of Macclenny, Florida: Two brothers, Joey Freeman (Kathy) Crews of Macclenny, Florida and Chris B. (Mandy) Crews of Glen St. Mary, Florida. She also leaves behing 11 nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Crews will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, Florida with Rev. Tim Thomas officiating and assisted by Rev. David Thomas. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday (One hour before services) at the church.
