Mrs. Pauline Finley, age 89, of Lake City, Florida, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2012 in the Health Center, Lake City, Florida. She was a native of Olustee, Florida and had resided in Lake City, Florida for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and attended Watertown Holiness Church. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts, cooking and growing her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jefferson Finley, her parents, William Henry and Mary Wiggins Varnes, her son Jimmy Finley, three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Verna (Calvin) Robinson and Betty Ann Robinson, both of Lake City, Florida; four sons, Lamar (Gloria) Finley, Charles Finley and Ray (Hazel) Finley, all of Lake City, Florida, and Harold (Debbie) Finley of Glen St. Mary, Florida; one sister, Betty Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, William Varnes of Lulu, Florida and Clyde Varnes of Lake City, Florida; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Carroll officiating and assisted by Rev. Carroll Lee and Rev. Tommy Anderson.
Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Florida.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday (two hours before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Fla
