Rebecca Alice Greene

Rebecca Alice Greene, a forty-five-year Lake City resident and formerly of Fort Lauderdale, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Raymond Lee and Gladys Mode Greene. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word. She enjoyed caring for her family, was a good cook and was talented at crocheting and knitting.  A member of the First Baptist Church of Davie, Florida, Ms. Greene loved studying the bible with her grandchildren and watching Christian TV. She is survived by her son, Lee Ray Rutledge of Scottsboro, Alabama; daughter: Teresa Lee of Lake City; grandchildren: Shannon Trayers, Chrissy Dunn, and Courtney Leigh Rutledge, and great grandchildren: James Hall, Kayla Dunn, and John Keene. A celebration of Ms. Greene’s life will be held 11:00am, Monday, April 14, 2025, in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Lake City with Reverend Spencer Corbett officiating. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Guerry Funeral Home is honored to serve the Greene family.
