Rebecca Ann Hunter

Mrs. Rebecca Ann Hunter, age 64, of Macclenny, FL passed away Tuesday, August 2nd in the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Rebecca was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Orville and Phyllis Polen Scribner. She lived in Jacksonville, FL for several years before moving to Baker County, FL in 1983. In 1986 she married the love of her life, George Hunter. Rebecca loved her “happy place”, the beach. She enjoyed powwows, BINGO, music, dream catchers and wind chimes. Most of all Rebecca loved her family and spending time with them. She is preceded in death by her parents. Rebecca is survived by her loving husband, George Hunter of Macclenny, FL: two sons, Joshua Weber of Jacksonville, FL and George D. Hunter, Jr. of Macclenny, FL: two daughters, Nicole Weber of Massachusetts and Danielle Hunter (Toderick) of Macclenny, FL: two sisters, Paula Floor (Jim) of Louisiana and Lisa Suarez (Raul) of Texas and five grandchildren, Curtis, Cylie, GG, Aayla and Ayden. Her best friend, Cheryl Morgan of Cuyler, FL also survives. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hunter will be held at 3 P.M., Friday, August 5th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Pastor David Thomas officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 3 P.M. (two hours prior to the service). Interment will follow the funeral services in South Prong Cemetery.
