Reta Rose Krecioch

October 31, 1933 — December 8, 2014

Mrs. Reta Rose Krecioch, age 81, of Lake City, Florida died  Monday, Dec. 8, in the  V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness.  Mrs. Krecioch  was born in Chicago,  Illinois and lived in Country Club Hills, Illinois before moving to Lake City, Fla. 37 years ago.  She was employed  as a registered nurse with the V. A.  Medical Center in Lake City for 19 years until her retirement.   She was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church and held various ministries with the church during her membership  and held weekly bible classes at her home for many years.  She was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War  and received  numerous honors and awards for her volunteer  and nursing work at the V.A. Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Peter Paul and Anastania Barbara Kanoza Nyka,  her late husband, Bruno Krecioch and  her brother, Gerald  Nyka.  She is survived by her son, Raymond P. (Betty)  Krecioch of Pensacola, Fla.:  seven grandchildren, Joseph  R. (Jody)  Krecioch, Lori Krecioch, Tim Lee, Angela (Patrick)  Nunnaly,  Tony (Monica) Lee, Suzette Dux, Jeff Krecioch  and   Six great-grandchildren also survive.   Numerous nieces, nephews and special friends also survive.  Funeral mass will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday,  Dec.  11, in the Epiphany  Catholic Church with Father Michael Pendergraft officiating.  Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens ,  Lake City, Florida.
