Rev. Johnnie Wayne Anderson, age 73, a lifelong Baker County resident passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Johnnie Wayne was born on July 6, 1945 in Taylor, Florida to the late J.C. and Mary Williams Anderson. He was one of eight children, five preceded him in death, Edward Anderson, Clyde Anderson, Lavonne Anderson Brumfield, Genevieve Anderson Lucas and Esther Mae Anderson. Two still living siblings, Cleo Anderson Osteen (Sammy) of Mayo, Florida and Michael Anderson (Sherrie) of Macclenny, Florida: He was married to the love of his life, Ruby Sweat Anderson, for 54 years. They have two children, Johnnie D. Anderson (Barbara) of Lake City, Florida and Tammy L. Anderson of Macclenny, Florida: Five grandchildren, Derek, Dustin, Coleby, Tera and Savannah: Two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Klay, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was an Ordained Bishop and pastored the Baldwin Church of God since 1990. He had a passion for the Lord, ministering to others and fishing. He spent most of his time with the love of his life, Ruby, his family, church family and friends. If Johnnie Wayne was here, he’d say, “If you aren’t ready to go then you better get right with God”. He will be greatly missed! A funeral service to honor the life of Rev. Anderson will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 11, in the Macclenny Church of God with Rev. Shannon Conner, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, July 10, at the church. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
