Richard Lee Johnson

Mr. Richard Lee Johnson, age 66, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Saturday, July 15th at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Johnson was born in Lake City, FL and resided in Baker County all of his life. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness and enjoyed reading his Bible. Mr. Johnson was a semi truck driver for Glen St. Mary Nursery for over 20 years and loved driving his tractor. He enjoyed gardening, planting and growing fruit trees, and scrolling Facebook marketplace. Mr. Johnson loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Marvin and Lucille Jenkins Johnson, two sisters, Cathy Davis and Carol Hunt, and one brother, Michael Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife, Bambi Johnson: one son, Richard David Johnson (Mindy) of Glen St. Mary, FL: two daughters, Gina Marie Johnson of Glen St. Mary, Fl and Felecia Elaine Hodges (Steve) of Macclenny, FL: nine grandchildren, Jarred Harris, Keltni Davis, Taylor Harris, Kaitlynn Waddell, Baliegh Harris, Mason Johnson, Lonna Hodges, Miles Johnson and Melilah Johnson: four great-grandchildren, Tinsley Harris, Taylynn Harris, Rylie Clark and Trayton Harris: four brothers, Mitchel Johnson, John Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Stanley Johnson: three sisters, Patricia Brogdon, Deborah Altman and Alice Crawford. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Johnson will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, July 19th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Brother Robert Methvin officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. (one hour prior to the service). Interment will follow the funeral service in Macedonia Cemetery.
