Mr. Richard M. "Masa" Takamine, age 94, of Macclenny, Fla. died Sunday, May 6, at his residence. He was a native of Hilo, Hawaii and had resided in Jacksonville, Fla. before moving to Macclenny, Fla. over 30 years ago. He was educated as a chiroproactor and received his degree from the Palmer School of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa in 1949. He worked in the warehouse department with Winn-Dixie Food Stores, Jacksonville, Fla. for many years. He was a loyal member of the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Fla. and an Army veteran of W.W. II.
He is survived by five step-grandchildren; Connie (John) Kent of High Point, N.C., Paula (Randy) Smith of St. Augustine, Fla., Kim (Tim) Wineland of Jacksonville, Fla., Shawn (Brian) Rigennitter of Rome, GA. and Beverly Boyer of Flat Rock, MI; Numerous step-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 12, in the First Baptist Church of Macclenny, Fla. with Dr. Edsel Bone, Senior Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Fla. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. Saturday (One hour prior to the service at the church).
