Robert Harvey Smith

Mr. Robert Harvey Smith, age 69, of Lake City, FL died Thursday, August 17, in the North Florida Reginal Medical Center, Gainesville, FL following an extended illness. He was born in Lancaster, OH and resided in Orange Park, FL before moving to Lake City, FL in 1985. He worked for the City of Lake City for a number of years and most recently worked as a mechanic for Bryant’s Towing Service of Lake City. Mr. Smith loved the outdoors and all sports, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Smith, his mother, Betty Jane Smith and a son, Robert Edward Smith. He is survived by three daughters, Symantha (Brent) Juneau of Orange Park, FL, Tabatha (David) Morgan of White Springs, FL, and Robin (Ray Reeves) Smith of Lake City, FL: his father, Edward Westervelt of Columbus, OH. Seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren also survive. A memorial service to honor the life of MR. Smith will be held at 7 P.M., Thursday , August 24, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd., Lake City, FL. Rev. Larry Sweat. pastor of Southside Baptist, will be officiating the service. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 7 P.M. (one hour before services).
