Robert Anthony Williams, Sr.

Mr. Robert Anthony Williams, Sr. age 57, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Monday, January 9, in the UF Health Shands, Gainesville, FL following a brief illness. Mr. Williams was born in Columbus, MS and lived in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Baker County, FL in 2004. He worked as a cabinet maker for Bennett’s Custom Cabinets for many years and was a referee for the Florida High School Athletic Association and for Pop Warner in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Williams also helped coach his grandsons’ baseball team and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his late wife Cathy L. Williams and his parents, Lesley A. and Alice Clark Williams. He is survived by two sons, Robert A. Williams, Jr. (Charly) of Glen St. Mary, FL and Greg Skinner (Kathy) of Hilliard, FL: three daughters, Bridget Williams of Macclenny, FL, Jennifer Williams of Lake City, FL and Beth Coviello (James) of Albany, NY: one brother, Lennie Williams (Tracey) of Utah: two sisters, Lisa Chism of Alabama and Angela James of Utah. Eleven grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Williams will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, January 13 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Griffis officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, January 12, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, FL.
