Roger Richard Wasmund

Mr. Roger Richard Wasmund, age 76, of Fort White, Florida died  Saturday,  Aug. 29, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake city, Florida following a long illness.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan  and lived in Auburndale, Florida before moving to Fort White, Fla. fifteen years ago.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corp for over 22 years  and then worked  for Sears Department Stores, Lakeland, Florida as a salesman in the appliance department until his retirement. He was of the catholic faith and a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.  He loved fishing and enjoyed building bird houses.  He was preceded in death by his parents,  Charles and Julia Muchong Wasmund and his daughter, Jacqueline Julia Bamforth.  He is survived by his two sons, Allen G. Wasmund of Orlando, Florida and Anthony Jude Wasmund of Bartow, Florida:  Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.  Funeral services will be private.
