Mr. Ronald Potter, age 72 of Lake City, passed away at his home and surrounded by loved ones on Monday, May 26, 2025. Mr. Potter was born in Kentucky and spent his young adulthood serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Hermitage (LSD-34). Upon separation from the Navy, he became a truck driver and was employed by AMX (Alabama Motor Express) Trucking. Mr. Potter was a member of the New Beginnings Church of Lake City and enjoyed going fishing and working on cars in his spare time. He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years: Patricia Potter; daughters: Ami Thomas of Lake City and Angie Hollingsworth of Lake Butler; sister: Bobbie Pickney of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and thirteen grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Charlene Hilt Potter and daughter: Brittany Smith. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00am, Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Billy Tolbert officiating. Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, is honored to serve the Potter family.
