Ronald Wayne Register Sr. “Ronnie” devoted husband, father, papa, son, uncle and friend passed away on October 29, 2025, at Baptist Hospital surrounded by family at the age of 60. Though his time here was brief, his life was overflowing with love, laughter, and meaning. He is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Register, who was his rock, his soulmate, his best friend and the love of his life. Together they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to each other, forever and a day. He leaves behind his cherished son, Ronald “Wayne” Register Jr. (Amanda Kirby-Register) and a beautiful daughter Rachel Brown (Matthew Brown) whom he loved deeply and guided fiercely. To them he was more than a father; he was a steady presence, a teacher and a protector. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren that he absolutely adored. Reese, Levi, Mackenzie, Rhett, Kennedy, Eleanor, Fitzgerald. He is remembered by his mother Jewel Register, his brothers Dan and Steve Register, and his sister Kay Granger. He lovingly leaves behind numerous extended family members whose life he impacted daily. His Mother-in Law, Marilyn Porter (preceded by her Husband Gerald Porter, and her daughter, Scarlett “Boo” Porter as well as her children, Dalton O’Dell (Abby O’Dell) and his kids: Kambreigh, Karstyn, Kaizlyn, and Kyren. Pamela “Micke” Porter and her kids: Marlee Trowell, Madie Porter. Ronnie graduated from Columbia High School in 1983.He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life the same week he graduated. He went to work for his family business, AAA Construction, for 25 years until he left and began his career with O’steen Brothers (OBI) as a heavy equipment operator. Ronnie prided himself on being a hard worker and provider for his family. Ronnie was a devout Gators fan and had a love for fishing. He is proceeded in death by his Father, Howard Register Sr. his Brother Howard Register Jr. and a sister Pam Miller. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at High Springs Cemetery on November 1, 2025, at 11.am with Jacob Newton officiating.
