Mrs. Rosa Lee Rhoden, 82 of Baldwin, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at her home. She was born in Baker County, Florida in 1930 to the late John Riley and Ezzie Wilkerson Wright. Mrs. Rhoden lived in Baldwin since 1961 and attended the Macclenny Church of God when able. She had previously worked for the Northeast Florida State Hospital in Macclenny and she retired in 1993 from Baldwin Elementary School having worked in the cafeteria. Her hobbies included working in her flower garden and cooking for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin F. Rhoden in 1983, one son, Billy D. Rhoden in 1995, two brothers, Albert Wright and Emory Wright and two sisters, Thelma Norman and Ella Wright.
Survivors include five sons, Calvin Rhoden, Hilliard, Ray (Diane) Rhoden, Wilson Springs, John (Janice) Rhoden, Macclenny, Terry (Geraldine) Rhoden, Baldwin and Larry Rhoden, Maxville; three daughters, Ezzie Jones, Bryceville, Martha (Delvin) Johnson, Jacksonville and Melba (David) Jacobs, DeLeon Springs; one sister, Mary Lee (Ray A.) Bennett, Gainesville; one sister in law, Gladys Wright, Jacksonville; 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Manntown Cemetery in Baker County, FL. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
