Mrs. Ruby Lee Crews, age 88, of Macclenny, Florida died Saturday, Oct. 3, in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida following a long illness. She was born in Thonotosassa, Florida and lived many years in Macclenny, Fla. before moving to Tallahassee, Fla. for 25 years and back to Macclenny, Fla. 4 years ago. She was a member of the North Florida Baptist Church, Tallahassee, Fla. and a volunteer with the Senior Citizens Center, Tallahassee, Fla. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, ceramics, playing bingo and Florida State Seminole football. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Tim Crews, son, Randall Crews, son-in-law, William Crandall Dart and her faithful animal companion, Joey. She is survived by five children, Jewell Dart of Tallahassee, Fla., Nathaniel (Carolyn) Crews of Macclenny, Fla., Carolyn C. (Paul) Vickers of Macclenny, Fla., Faye (Tom) Gay of Thomasville, Ga. and Mike (Tona) Crews of Macclenny, Fla.: Eighteen grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Crews will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Fla. with Rev. Randy Williams, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Randy Ray of Tallahassee, Fla. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Baker County, Fla. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the church.
