Ruby Lane

Mrs. Ruby S. Lane, age 90, of Macclenny, FL passed away, Wednesday, November 21 at her home with family by her side. Mrs. Lane was born in Madison County, FL in January of 1928 to the late Henry and Ada Pearl McDaniel Stokes. She lived in Lee, FL for several years before moving to Baker County, FL over 65 years ago. Mrs. Lane was a member of the German American Club, enjoyed cooking, and loved to take care of her family. She attended Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, FL for over 50 years and loved her church family. She is preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Lane is survived by her husband, James Lane: two sons, Robert K. Lane (Kimbra) of Glen St. Mary, FL and Donald H. Lane (Wendy) of Granbury, TX: one daughter, Wendy Ruth Lane of Concorde, NC. Six grandchildren, Chad, Myriah, Skyler, Jenna, Mandi, and Faith Lane also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Lane will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, November 24 at the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, FL with Rev. Mark Woods, Elder David Crawford and Rev. Tim Andrews officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be Friday, November 23 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the church. Burial will follow services in Brandy Branch Cemetery.
