Ruth Carolyn Miller

November 10, 1944 — April 11, 2021

miller, ruth carolyn (ruthie), 76, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 11, 2021, at her home in Lake City, FL.  She was born on November 10, 1944, in Minneapolis, MN, to Earl William Miller, Jr. and Ruth Mildred (Millie) Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Millie.  She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert (Bob) J. Breyer and her loving sister, Suzan Miller Moore (Bob) of Tampa, FL, and many caring friends and other family. She was a beautiful, intelligent lady with spirited smile who will be missed by all who knew her.  She was a fabulous cook and a collector of many things.

She graduated from Chamberlain High School in Tampa and USF with a degree in Art.   She was a gifted and creative artist, a quilter extraordinaire, a weaver of cloth and baskets, a spinner of yarn, a mixed media designer and a fiber genius winning numerous awards for much of her creative work.  She spent many happy hours in her “Imaginarium” designing, studying and creating.  She leaves a talented legacy as she was a loving inspiration and mentor to many artists both family and friends.

She deeply loved her dogs and spent many hours training them in Obedience and Agility.  Her Dobermans, Border Collies, and German Short-haired Pointers won many awards under her guidance.  She shared this special ability as she instructed numerous dog owners to train their dogs in Obedience and Agility, too.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  “She was one heck of a Woman!”
