Mr. Sammy Harris, age 67, of Macclenny, FL passed away Wednesday, August 9 in the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Macclenny, FL. Mr. Harris was born in Raiford, FL and was a lifelong resident of Baker County, FL. Mr. Harris was a maintenance employee with the City of Macclenny for many years and he enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time with his family. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Evelyn Thomas Harris. He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Raulerson Harris: two sons, Sammy Harris, Jr. (Erin) and Timothy Harris both of Macclenny, FL: one daughter, Amy Thatcher (Jeremy) of Macclenny, FL: five brothers, Henry Harris (Martha) of Glen St. Mary, FL, Jimmy Harris (Betty) of Gainesville, FL, Johnny Harris (Robin), Ronnie Harris (Donna) and Doney Harris (Barbara) all of Raiford, FL: one sister, Betty Cochran (Sid) of Raiford, FL. Three grandchildren, Amber Lynn Thatcher, Joseph Ressie Harris, and Regan Lorena Thrush, also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Harris will be held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, August 15 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, FL. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, August 14 at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Oak Grove Cemetery, Macclenny, FL.
