Ms. Sharon Kay “Sheree” Jackson, age 56, of Glen St. Mary, Florida slipped into the arms of Jesus on June 22, 2015. Sherre was born in Starke, Florida and resided in Macclenny and Glen St. Mary, Florida most of her life. She worked in management at Farmers Federal Credit Union, Jacksonville, Florida for over 20 years and thereafter with the Columbia Correctional Institute, Lake City, Florida and recently retired from the State of Florida. Sherre was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Methvin, her brother-in-law, Tim Hooper, her grandparents, Arthur and Susan Combs and Albert and Quanita Methvin. She is survived by her loving mother and step-father, Juanelle and Tommy Bennett of Glen St. Mary, Florida: Her loving sisters, Cathy Hooper of Macclenny, Florida and Debra (Dennis) Strickland of Jacksonville, Florida: Her step-brother, Paul (Tina) Bennett of Palatka, Florida: She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A remembrance service to honor the life of Sherre will be held at 7 P.M. Friday, July 17, in the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Florida with Rev. Randy Williams, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private in Oak Grove Cemetery, Baker County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Friday (One hour before services) at the church.
