Stanley Monds

Mr. Stanley U. Monds, age 70, of Glen St. Mary, Fl. died Saturday, July 25, in the Acosta- Rau Center for Caring, Jacksonville, Fl. following a long illness. He was born in Sanderson, Fl. and had resided in Glen St. Mary, Fl. for 39 years. He was the owner and operator of Baker Well and Pump Service for over 40 years until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the Glen Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Fl. and a former member of the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Clarice Sapp Monds, two sons, Scotty Monds and Anthony "Tony" Glen Roberts and two brothers, James and Wayne Monds. He is survived by his wife of 39 yers, Linda J. Monds of Glen St. Mary, Fl.: His daughter, Taryn (Ricky) Dugger of Macclenny, Fl.: His son, Hunter Roberts of Glen St. Mary, Fl.: Four sisters, Vonceil Crawford of Moniac, Ga., Bonnie Faye Jankowski of Glen St. Mary, Fl., Janice Hannigan of Macclenny, Fl., and Beverly Conto of California: Two brothers, Eston Monds and Denny Monds both of Glen St. Mary, Fl.: Six grandchildren and three great-grandsons also survive. A remembrance service to honor the life of Mr. Monds will be held at 5 P.M. Tuesday, July 28, in the Glen Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Fl. with Elder Arnold Johns, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Fl. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 4 to 5 P.M. Tuesday ( One hour before services) at his church.
