Stephen Credeur

Mr. Stephen Credeur was born on August 29, 1932 to William Credeur and Edith Bourque Credeur of Scott, LA and passed quietly a day before his 89th birthday on August 28, 2021. Stephen grew up on the farm and graduated from Scott High School in 1950. Soon after graduation he joined the Army and entered into the 11th Airborne to become a Paratrooper. After the Army, Stephen worked various jobs in the oilfield, chemical transport, safety and environmental industries. After retirement Stephen enjoyed traveling in his RV, spending time with family and listening to Cajun music. He is survived by his two sons, Kirk Credeur (Kayla Spell Credeur) of Welsh, LA and Scott Credeur of Houston, TX and four grandchildren, Stephanie Yancey, Derek Credeur, Kristen Credeur, and Styles Credeur. He is preceded in death by his late wife Darcey Yarbrough Credeur, daughter, Donna Yancey, and three sisters, Hazel David, Gertrude Clause and Joyce Credeur. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Credeur will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, September 4th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Elder David Crawford officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services). Interment will immediately follow the services in Taylor Cemetery.
