Mrs. Susan Louise Thomas, age 61, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, March 1, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness. She was born in Homerville, Georgia and then traveled with her husband in the U. S. Army before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1999. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde R. Bennett, mother Ruby Brannen and her step-father, William “Dub” Brannen and her sister, Linda Mobley. She is survived by the love of her life and married for 40 years, Clifford Thomas of Lake City, Fla.: Three sons, Richard (Rochelle) Thomas of Lake City, Fla., Matthew (Chareese) Thomas of the U.S. Air force, Hawaii and Colby Thomas of Tallahassee, Florida: One half-brother, William “Bot” Brannen of Lake City, Florida: Two grandchildren, James Thomas and April Thomas: Sister-in-law, Sally (Billy) Mobley of Lake City, Fla. and brother-in-law Charles Mobely of Lake City, Fla. and several neices and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, March 4, in the Chapel of GUERRY FUNERAL HOME. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Wednesday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
