Mrs. Sylvia Faye McCollum of Macclenny, Fla. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her garden, fishing and found a sense of peace in taking care of her family and friends. She was the widow of the late Calvin Grant "Mac" McCollum and was preceeded in death by her parents, Herbert and Eva Mae Crews Harris and her sister, Eloise Harris Crews. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. and resided in Macclenny, Fla. all of her life. She is survived by her three sons, Randy Long, Ronnie (Jill) Long and Ricky Long all of Glen St. Mary, Fla.:One step-son, Char (Debbie) McCollum of Jacksonville, Fla.: Three grandchildren, Dawson Allen Long, Jordan Zoe Long and Lacey Lee King: One sister, Linda (Jim) Pifer of Glen St. Mary, Fla.: One brother, Herbert (Sherry) Harris, Jr. of Glen St. Mary, Fla.: Several nieces and nephews and her pet companion, Lizzie, also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Saturday, Dec. 22 in the Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. David Thomas, Pastor of Christian Fellowship Temple, officiating and assisted by Rev. Justin Griffis. Interment will be in South Prong Cemetery, Sanderson, Fla. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 P.M. Saturday (2 hours before services) at Sanderson Congrgational Holiness Church. Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Fla. is in charge of arrangments.
