Terry Cartledge

Mr. Terry Cartledge, age 67, of Wellborn, Florida died Monday, July 24, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following a sudden illness. He was a native of Bainbridge, Georgia and resided in Kissimmee and Crawfordville, Florida before moving to Wellborn, Florida in 2009. He was employed as a truck driver with United Parcel Service, Orlando, Florida for over thirty years until his retirement in 2000. He was of the Baptist faith and a U. S. Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War and recipient of the Purple Heart for Valor in service to his country. He enjoyed fishing, going on cruises, traveling, cooking out with his family, working his property, gardening and enjoying life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Marion and Ailene Ella Oselburn Cartledge, Sr. He is survived by his significant other Trisha Norris of Wellborn, Florida: Two sons, Kelly T. Cartledge of Winter Haven, Florida and Gill Anthony Cartledge of St. Cloud, Florida: One brother, Jack M. Cartledge, Jr. of Panacea, Florida: Five grandchildren, Martin, Terry, Mason, Taylor and Shelby also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Cartledge will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, July 28, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Dampier officiating. Interment will be in Fellowship Cemetery, Suwannee County, Florida.
