Thomas Duggar Futch

Mr. Thomas Duggar “Tom” Futch, age 91, of Macclenny, Florida died on August 27, 2016 in the Acosta-Rau Center for Caring, Jacksonville, Florida.  He was born in Alachua, Florida August 23, 1924 to David Mallery Futch  and Burdine Slaughter Futch.  He lived in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to  Macclenny, Florida in 1973.  He was employed  with Central Tuck Lines, Jacksonville, Florida for over 27 years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Florida and served as a Deacon  and served in the Awana Ministry for many years.  He was an Army Veteran of W.W.  II.  Mr. Futch was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and a nephew.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years,  Annie Laura Futch of Macclenny, Florida:  His daughter, Patricia Duggan of Macclenny, Florida:  His son, Thomas Wayne  Futch of Macclenny, Florida: His granddaughter,  Ashely (Tim) Hope of Macclenny, Florida: His sister,  June (Doyle) Carmichael of Live Oak, Florida and many nieces and nephews.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Futch will be held at 11 A.M.  Wednesday,  Aug. 31, in the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Florida with Dr. Edsel Bone, Pastor, officiating. Private interment  will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Baker County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday (One hour before services) at his church.
