Timothy James Hooper

Mr. Timothy James Hooper, age 57, of Macclenny, Fla died Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Shands Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla following a long illness. Mr. Hooper had resided in Macclenny since moving from Jacksonville Beach over 20 years ago. He had been a long time employee for Mercedes Benz of North America where he worked for 32 years. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed working on his land and home. He also enjoyed camping, the beach, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary Louise Hooper. Mr. Hooper is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine (Cathy) Hooper of Macclenny: two daughters, Emily (Travis) Keeling of Callahan and Jesse Bales of Macclenny: One son, John Wesley Bales of Tallahassee: One brother, Michael (Terri) Hooper of Jacksonville: Three grandchildren, Braze and Stella Keeling of Callahan and Shaylee Swearingen of Macclenny also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 25, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Catherine of Siena, 1649 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, Fla. with Father Ignatius Plathanam officiating.
